چکیده
Photosynthetic microorganisms, such as algae, are sources of bioproducts. Because they require only sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to grow, have potential for future mitigation CO2 emissions. However, inefficient growth these organisms remains an issue realizing emission reductions, primarily in terms photosynthetic efficiency, photoinhibition, photolimitation. Here, we show how use light filtration through semi-transparent films comprised organic π-conjugated molecules photovoltaic devices has the improve photosynthesis efficiency algae total power generation a combined photovoltaic/algal system. Experimental data used fit model predicting algal given intensity transmission device. This work demonstrates feasibility using “agrivoltaic” system combining with electricity-producing photovoltaics provides template exploring other blended applications technologies.

Light Manipulation in Organic Photovoltaics
Organic photovoltaics (OPVs) hold great promise for next-generation photovoltaics in renewable energy because of the potential to realize low-cost mass production via large-area roll-to-roll printing technologies on flexible substrates. To achieve high-efficiency OPVs, one key issue is to overcome the insufficient photon absorption in organic photoactive layers, since their low carrier mobility...
متن کاملAmplified Spontaneous Emission Properties of Semiconducting Organic Materials
This paper aims to review the recent advances achieved in the field of organic solid-state lasers with respect to the usage of semiconducting organic molecules and oligomers in the form of thin films as active laser media. We mainly focus on the work performed in the last few years by our research group. The amplified spontaneous emission (ASE) properties, by optical pump, of various types of m...
